Solaria sells its shingled-cell patents to Maxeon

Maxeon Solar Technologies revealed it was buying some assets from SolarCA, a Complete Solaria affiliate. In addition to its solar panel patent portfolio, they include Solaria’s dealer channel activities and agreements.
The pioneer of shingled-cell technology was Solaria, which had its headquarters in California but made its solar panels in South Korea. The business made use of a nationwide network of residential installation partners. The panel business combined forces with Complete Solar, a provider of home sales platforms located in California, last year to become Complete Solaria.
