Fronius intends to increase the capacity of US inverter production to 1 GW in 20

The 400,000 square foot manufacturing site in Portage, Indiana will receive investment from Fronius USA in order to create new production lines for solar inverters, a new data center, and the employment of new research and development engineers. Currently, Fronius USA employs around 200 people; by the end of the next year, that figure will more than quadruple to 500. Jobs in advanced manufacturing, technical assistance, sales, and software development will all be produced as a result of this.
In 2024, Indiana will have a 1 GW starting production capacity for inverters. The business aims to boost yearly capacity to nearly 7 GW during the next five years.
