In North Carolina, Boviet Solar is establishing a 2-GW solar panel plant.

Boviet Solar formally declared its intention to open a plant in Greenville, North Carolina, to produce solar panels.
For the $294 million renovation of an existing 500,000-square-foot building in Indigreen Corporate Park, Boviet Solar will make advantage of subsidies and incentives from Pitt County and the North Carolina Department of Commerce. In order to produce solar cells, the company plans to construct an additional 500,000 square feet on the property. There will be an annual capacity of 2 GW for both the panel and cell factories.
