Bifacial solar modules allow light to enter from both the front and rear sides of the panel generating more solar power than monofacial or conventional PV panels.
Monofacial panels, typically installed on rooftops, have only one working side that faces the sun, with the other side facing the roof of the building, away from direct sunlight.
In contrast, bifacial modules can receive sunlight on both sides to generate electricity. While the front of the panel is exposed to direct sunlight, the back of the panel generates electricity using the light that is reflected off the ground or other materials.
