World4Solar, a producer of solar carports, is introducing the HelioWing Hurricane Edition Solar Power System, a PV canopy system designed to withstand Category 5 winds, for both residential and commercial use.
The HelioWing Hurricane edition is strong enough to endure winds up to 175 mph in the absence of snow. For use in coastal regions susceptible to hurricanes and tropical storms, it strengthens the structure and fasteners made of powder-coated American steel from 50 to 100 ksi.
